His standing in national rankings is equally notable—PBR placed him at No. 17 among third basemen and No. 207 overall, while Perfect Game slotted him as the No. 36 third baseman nationally and a top-500 prospect.

With those accolades, it's no surprise that Griggs was a driving force behind Red Bank Catholic’s resurgence, helping the Caseys capture the 2023 NJSIAA sectional championship—their first since 1997. As a sophomore in 2022, Griggs was a first-team all-division selection after hitting .374 (34-for-91) with nine doubles, four triples, and three home runs. He drove in 24 runs, crossed the plate 30 times, and showcased his athleticism with eight stolen bases. Even as a freshman, he proved his offensive ability by posting 22 RBIs, 21 runs, and 22 walks while batting .291.
